Ports are nowadays at the crossroad of numerous stakes, under the strain of increasing tensions (competition, demographic pressure, environmental issues…) and influenced by a wide range of major players. The Port of the Future action brings together some of them. Its purpose is to anticipate the future of ports and to foster research and innovation related to port environments. The pace is set on a yearly basis by the “Assises du Port du Futur” - Port of the future National Conference - where public and private stakeholders meet economic and academic players to work and share experiences in a great variety of fields of expertise (engineering, technology, sociology, economics, environment…)
