A few hours after the end of Safer Seas' conference, another major event initiated by the European Commission's DG MARE will settle in the premises of the congress center Le Quartz.
Titled « Atlantic Stakeholder Platform Conference », this event is the sequel of a first edition that took place in January, in Porto. Designed to foster discussions and exchanges between regulators and users of the european atlantic maritime area, they picked up where the Atlantic Forum workshops left off after 2 years and 5 stops in Atlantic port cities, in 2012 and 2013 : from Horta in Portugal to Cork in Ireland, through Bilbao in Spain, Cardiff in the United Kingdom and, already, Brest in October 2012.
Almost 3 years to the day after that first visit, European commission's DG MARE trusts Brest again to host its 2nd « Atlantic Stakeholder Platform Conference ».

As part of the implementation of the Atlantic Action Plan, the European Commission invites stakeholders to share their practical knowledge and ideas at the Atlantic Stakeholder Platform conference. The stakeholder platform is an annual event and the central hub for stakeholders of the Atlantic Strategy to meet, greet, seek ways of cooperation, share information and secure funding.
